Many of the features of Thunderbird that I like are found via the
extensions / plugins / whatnot.  (I suspect for the True Believers,
emacs-mail has a lot of these capabilities too.)  That's not to say
that I use it exclusively -- as I sit and type this response in
gmail's web interface.  I also like mutt. My feelings about Evolution
are similar to others feelings about emacs: It's a slicer / dicer /
vegi-matic / back-scratcher... Oh, and it also does email.
