400k!?  That is pretty crazy.

Have you tracked down what the "heavy" portions of the page are?  What
steps are you taking to streamline the generation of the pages?  Have
you played with any of the caching systems (apc, memcache, etc)?  Are
you hitting the database on every single load?

I have another 10 questions, but that's probably good for now.  ;)
