For a rare change, I'm not sitting in front of an x86 box.  So, for
another data point: Under Apple's Preview on a G5 w/ Mac OS X 10.4.11
("Tiger") the second page shows the Awesome Graph of which you speak
(as well as what appears to be perfectly readable text on all pages).
