OK, I'll give it a try (I haven't used it lately, AUCTeX is pretty
broken in my system due to the major upgrade from 11.5x to 11.8x, so
I've been using an AUCTeX without it). I probably should do a 21.5.29
release before adding this just in case (which is long overdue
anyway), so don't expect it before then. I'm going to try to do
releases on a monthly or more frequent basis thereafter, so look for
it in 21.5.30.

I've added such a spec to the beginning of extents.c. I hope that is clear.
OK, this looks good. I probably will reorder it to give the "normal
cases" first.
