Windows builds (Cygwin and native)?
Nope, not yet; as I said, though, I don’t get warnings about statements
interleaving with declarations, which has been the main issue with the
Windows builds recently.
Benchmarks? Is there a perceptible speedup?
Remember that the code we inherit from GNU never uses the CL functions, and
that they’ve not been in C in XEmacs up to now, so the XEmacs-specific code
doesn’t use them much either, there’s not much opportunity for a speedup. I
*think* I saw a speedup with one specific change to the #'member* compiler
macro that meant most of the time the member bytecode was used in
#'add-to-list, but that’s gone in already.
With a few very rough-and-ready benchmarks, I see a twenty-fold speedup in
#'delete-duplicates and #'remove-duplicates. The other functions won’t be as
dramatic.
