Martin's right about not posting diffs for configure. His other
comments are related to corruption in configure.ac, you've apparently
managed to inadvertantly delete some chunks of it.

How is removal of the comment heading above an improvement?
How is it related to xft?

Doesn't the above turn a comment into a non-comment?
Is it really true that config.h is "normally" included twice
by normal source files?
