As it turns out, I slept longer than 6 hours anyway...
Just tag before and after. Then anybody can see what needs to be
done, and do the work.
I have committed this patch. The tags are:
pre-JJ-comint-sync
post-JJ-comint-sync
And let's hope they aren't necessary. I'm standing by to field bug
reports.
