Ok I did this (using xemacs-21.5.29 no patched for which it
should work as well.)
Bad news. I obtain an error when byte compiling it and when
I load the .el anyway I obtain the old error message.
When I try to compile it with 21.4 I also get a complain but
at least it compiles.
