I'm facing an issue which is more-or-less similar to your message posted at

with subject "configure changes (shared libs)?"

 

I'm trying to compile some c++ files on IRIX 6.5, but compilation gets hang. My compiler is "MIPSpro Compilers: Version 7.3.1.3m",

And when I do,

"ps -ef" I get,

and when I do "top" the machine status is this,

here you can see CPU is 99.5% idle and swap, memory too is free. I was using the same machine and everything was going fine 2 weeks back, but now it hangs and when I restart the machine and do compilation sometimes it is successful.

 

Here again sometimes its get hang at

/usr/lib32/cmplrs/be  <followed by some flags> [or]
/usr/lib32/cmplrs/fecc <followed by some flags>

I'm unable to find out the root cause and how to sort this out. It will be highly helpful if you pass your inputs.
