I don't think so; XEmacs's derived.el has a distinct "unfinished
symphony" air to it. Note that it (tries to) set a different property
'mode-class that is apparently intended to serve the same purpose.
It doesn't serve the same purpose; it just copies the parent's
mode-class.
Synch of missing features for derived.el would probably be
acceptable
for 21.4, and a general synch might very well be. Please carefully
note any changes in semantics in describign patches recommended for 21.4.
I don't really use it, although I don't mind synching it. Ville, is a
general synch the best strategy ?
